I chose sex education as my topic because it is a very important issue that is sometimes neglected in some education systems. There are too many teenagers that are getting pregnant and acquiring sexually transmitted diseases; we can't control what they choose to do, but we can make sure that they are educated if they decide to do it. Sex is just as much of the human experience as having a relationship with someone or going to to school for your education, that is why I chose this picture, because it shows that sex education should be just as important in a schools curriculum as reading and writing.

A great speaker that I had the chance to see once that speaks about sexual assult is Mike Domitrz, this is his website that gives you the access bringing him to your school so that he can present about sexual assult and also does workshops before his presentation called "teaching the teacher" about sexual assult awareness and supporting victims of sexual assult. I would give this site and presenter a 4/5 because I have seen other sexual assult presenters that have a more entertaining presentation. http://www.canikissyou.com/schools/

In the article of "Oregon Senate passes sex-education bill" it shows how in Oregon public school that it is already required that they give a comprehensive sex education but now it is requiring schools to give more information about acquiring sexually transmitted diseases and more effective ways of avoiding pregnancy. I would give this article a 5/5 because I love that Oregon schools are doing this! http://www.oregonlive.com/news/oregonian/index.ssf?/base/news/1242692708185370.xml&coll=7
#4 This video was made by students that were given an assignment to make a video about sex education. At the begining of the it says that these students were expelled from school because of this video, either I come from a very liberal area or they were lying about this because I feel that this video is not bad of a video for sex education and I think might be an effective way for students to learn a little about sex but can laugh while doing it. I would give this video a 3/5 because it is fun and humorous but it does not give too much information about sex and sexuality.
#5 This is a clip from a the tv show The Talk, these women are talking about sex education in our public schools today, I really enjoyed that they all had different opinions about at home education and at school education, but they all agreed that we should have a comprehensive approad to sex education. They believe that we should educate our children instead of only promoting abtinence. I would give this a 3/5 because it was entertaining but not necessarily educational.

The title for this video is called Sex ed for Koreans, the man goes around preaching about sex eduation in Korea. I felt that this is very interesting because even though I am ashamed of the sex education programs in America that are still educating student on abstinence only programs it stll isn't as bad as other countries. I would give this a 4/5 because I find it very interesting to learn about other countries.

This attractive girl is teaching about sex education, I think this could be very effective for boys and girls. I feel like the things that she talked about are things that all or most young girls ask but could possibly be getting the wrong answers. I feel that it is important for young adults to get the right answers instead of getting the wrong answers from their uneducated peers. I would give this a 5/5 because I like her energy and how she is teaching it.

This is my favorite video out of all of the videos that I found, the reason for this is because he speaks about sex education and sexuality in only 4 and a half
minutes. I talks about the issues that are normally an uncomfortable topic about sex education in this present day. I would give this video a 5/5 because I love his
energy about sex education and I think would make a great sex education teacher.
5 Things that I learned
Comprehensive sex education is where you teach about sexually transmitted diseases and how to prevent pregnancy.
Abstinence only sex education is where the school does not teach about anything other than not to have sex at all.
In other countries including Korea they are not aloud to have sex before they are married and should not take part in homosexual sexual acts.
Comprehensive sex education is required of Oregon and California Public schools
In the present day there is actually a sex education curriculum written for public schools to teach on comprehensive sex ed.
